The Road Ahead Part-1

Hmmm..Ok... Somehow on that night I got a crazy spirit inside me and I wrote my 1st ever blog. Now I get this itchy feeling every day that I should follow it up with another one. The first one gave me so much peace when I bitched about that stupid movie critic. But now I'm really stuck as to what I should write now.

So I thought I should recreate my mental state what I had on that night when I wrote the 1st blog so I that I'll get inspired again and I would write more. Ok, so now the analysis begins ke aisa kya hua us raat ko ke mujhe blogging ka kutta kaata. I finally came to the below mentioned conclusions.

1. I slept that afternoon and I wasn't able to sleep that night and I was bored.

2. I was browsing through BollywoodHungama.com that night.

3. I was trying to follow the trend of blogging and show to people around me that Hey look at me... Am so cool. In short it was a sincere attention craving effort.

4. It was a combined effect of all three.

Anyhow whatever may be the reason, the fact is that i did write it and it was bloody satisfying.

Now finally I've even decided on what to write in this one. I have decided to share an incident which happened with me on Friday.

This Friday after leaving the office campus I took the normal short cut from ITPL which I take regularly. The route is kinda spooky with less number of people traveling on that road. That night, the road was empty as expected bcos people usually leave early from office on Friday evening. At a distance I could see some 5-6 people standing in formal attire. They were holding a big square shaped frame. If you'd look at it, it would seem like a big soap bubble with multi coloured reflection coming outta that. As I was nearing them, they were coming closer to the road holding that big frame in hand. Just as I reached near them, they threw that frame over me. I jumped my bike right through the centre of that bubble. I lost balance of my bike and I fell on the ground. I kept lying there for a few seconds cos I was feeling kinda weird after hitting that bubble. Somehow when I got up, I couldn't control myself and I puked there. Those 5-6 people were nowhere to be seen now.

I cursed those bastards and I started my bike. While I was on my way home I noticed something. A new restaurant had come up near Marathalli Bridge. I was wondering, how the f**k din I ever notice this before. I stopped my bike and I thought that man I really need a drink. So I thought of calling up my friend and ask him to come over to Brigade Road. I took out my cell and I started to call my friend. But every time I'll get the message that you're not allowed to call this number. I thought ke now what. I called up the customer service. Those guys started saying that my validity is over. But as much as I remembered, I had validity till March. I didn’t have any mood to investigate this any further and I decided to move to Brigade road.

Alright so I don't go to MG Road and Brigade road that often, and the last time I visited was some good two three months back. But as far as I remember the last time I came near Trinity Circle, there was a big Traffic Jam on MG road because of the Metro construction. But now I was seeing Bangalore Metro in action right before my eyes. And It really was a sight. Maan something is seriously wrong. Metro rail cannot be finished in three months.

The Friend Part-2

A shock went through my spine. He was my best buddy, and now I was feeling scared of him. I was so dumbstruck at that moment that I couldn't even react. I just sat there shocked and in disbelief. He continued to talk...

My friend: "I killed her and I don't feel one bit of regret regarding that. She deserved that"

Me: "Dude you're joking??? How could some one kill his own wife?? Man what were you thinking?? You've gone mad or what? "

My friend: "Anybody in my place would've thought about doing the same thing. After I moved to US, she had started seeing other guys."

Me: "Dude you could've taken a divorce or something. Why the hell did you have to take such an extreme step?"

My friend: "I did what I thought was justice. She needed that. You marry someone with trust in your mind. All I asked for was to have a family and kids and to lead a normal life."

With every passing moment, my heart beat was rising faster. The man, the killer, my best friend was scaring the shit out of me. And my body wasn't even moving. I was just stuck to the chair.

My friend: "You know I had smelt something fishy when I came back home after 18 months in US. She was behaving weirdly."

Me: "Ya... You were telling that before.."

My friend: "Before going to US I told my sister to keep a watch on her and that I feel something is wrong. And as I thought my doubts were right. She was seeing three guys at the same time."

My eyes were getting red. The fear has surely crept into my whole body. The cold weather wasn't helping things.

My friend: "One of the guys was her colleague in office. One Mr Vinod Khosla. He was a casanova sort of a person and getting married ladies into his trap was kinda like his hobby. I smashed his head with his own laptop and stabbed his eye with the laptop battery."

Ohh my godd!!!! This guy has become a maniac. I have to call the cops now. But how..... I don't even have guts to get up from the chair. My hands were frozen and I just couldn't make an attempt to reach my mobile phone. And he was sitting there, as cool as a cucumber after murdering these people as if he was doing some social service..I stuttered and I asked him,

Me: "Wh.. Wh.. What about the other two guys??"

My friend: "Another guy I found out was our neighbour. He was this call centre cool hip hop sorta guy and he was having a nice time fooling around with my wife."

Me: "What did you do to him??"

My friend: "I shot him..That too in front of my wife before I shot her.."

Me: "And and, the third guy?"

My friend: "You know, my sister couldn't find details about the third guy. So before shooting my wife I directly asked her. You know whose name she took?"

With a sudden movement, I jumped from my chair and tried to reach the beer bottle. But he was quick. He overpowered me and took a gun from his coat and pointed it right between my eyes...

My friend: "She took your name... Yoursss... And you called yourself my best buddy huh?? This was your business trip huh???"

Me: "Please man, please please, don't kill me man please!!!!"

He wore this sarcastic smile and said
My friend: "Don't worry, I won't kill you. You don't deserve a quick death by a gun shot. I never told you how my kid died. Apparently Mr Vinod was a frequent visitor to Thailand's prostitutes. And he got HIV from them which he gave to my wife as a present. My Kid died of AIDS man... And I know that bloody virus is killing you too second by second, destroying your body organ by organ"

He pointed the gun towards his head and said "Enjoy your death man. See you in hell".........

The Friend... Part-1

The Friend... Part 1

29 October 2021. Bergen, Norway

I always had a fantasy for Europe. I just wished I ever I could get a trip to Europe. And here I am, away from family, friends and home land for the past 7 years. Things changed dramatically for me after 2010. I became more serious in my career and I even tied the knot. I worked my butt off and finally got my wife to Europe. By the way I'm married now and I have a baby girl of 4. She looks so cute, just like these European firangi kids out here... Sometimes toh I even doubt my wife ke ye mera bachha to hai na... But then, her face cut is just like my sister's so that gives some consolation.

Anyhow, it was a thursday evening. I used to love snow, but now a days the winter here just feels like pain. It was very chilly that day. Evening I got a call on my cell.

Me: "Hello.."
Guy on the phone: "Kya be mote... Pehchaana??"
Me: "Nahii... But you sound familiar.. Koun hai bol na.."
Guy on the phone: "Muks saale, mujhe bhool gaya"
Me: "Ohhh Shit!!! Tuuuu.... Maan its been years... Where are you now? Kya kar raha hai??"
Guy on the phone: "Main Norway main hi hoon, tu bata kahaan rehta hai... Aaj hi milte hain"

I gave him the address and then I hung up the phone. Maan, it feels so good when you hear after a long time from someone so close. He was my best buddy untill Europe came. Last I saw him was on his wedding. I just escaped from the office, outside it was snowing heavily. Somehow I drove back to home.

My Smitha was waiting for me when I reached home. I love it when she runs to me and hugs me when I come back from office...She just keeps shouting Papa is back, papa is back.... :-). My wife had prepared hot chocolate and it was heavenly to drink it in this chilly weather. I told her about my friend and that he is coming for dinner. She also got very happy and immidiately started preparing for the dinner.

Finally he came at around 8.30. He was looking kinda old now for his age. He was looking weak also. I shook hands with him and hugged him. We sat near the fireplace for drinks and our conversation began:

Me: "Aur bata saale, where were you all these years? Teri shaadi ke baad kabhi mile nahi. Tu kahaan settled hai abhi?"

My friend: "Bas yaar chal raha hai. Shaadi ke baad we settled in Bangalore itself. I bought a flat. I changed my job soon after my marriage. They were giving me double the pay which I was getting"

Me: "Ohh.. To ab tak bada saheb ban chuka hoga. Fir kya kiya?"

My friend: "Bade paise ke saath bada kaam bhi aa jaata hai. Ek ek rupya they extracted out of me. There was no time for family and friends after that. But the biggest blow was when they gave me an assignment in US for 3 years. I had to wait for one and half year to come back home after i went"

Me: "Shit thats bad. Your wife would've suffered a lot."

My friend: "Hmmm... Anyhow I came back. It really feels like meeting a stranger if you meet someone after a long time, even though its your own wife. But she was behaving really weirdly."

Me: "Hmmm... Usko kya ho gaya?"

My friend: "Well... Anyhow, after I came back to US I came to know ke my wife is pregnant. That really put life in me. I somehow made it back to home before her delivery. She gave birth to a beautiful girl.. Bilkul mere jaise dikhti thi.."

Me: "Dikhti hai, dikhti thi kyun bol raha hai.."

My friend: "Dikhti thi... My kid is no more.. She passed away."

Me: "Ohh Shit!!!... I'm sorry man. How's your wife now yaar?"

My friend: "I Killed her..."
